Tvento: TV Remote & Cast

1. AGREEMENT

These terms are an agreement between you and [DEVELOPER NAME] ("we", "us")

about your use of the Tvento app for Android ("the app"). By installing or

using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use

the app.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and forms part of

these terms.

2. WHAT THE APP DOES

Tvento lets you:

  - use your phone as a remote control for compatible TVs on your Wi-Fi;

  - cast your own photos, videos and shared files to a TV;

  - play IPTV playlists that you add yourself, on your phone or on a TV;

  - start mirroring your phone screen through Android's own screen-cast

    feature.

The app works over your local network. We do not provide a TV, a streaming

service, channels, playlists or any media content.

3. NOT AFFILIATED WITH TV MAKERS OR STREAMING SERVICES

Tvento is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or

sponsored by Samsung, LG, Sony, Roku, Amazon, Google, Apple, Netflix, YouTube

or any other TV maker, platform or service. Every product name, logo and

trademark mentioned in the app or its store listing belongs to its owner and

is used only to describe which devices the app can work with.

4. WHO MAY USE THE APP

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age at which you can agree

to these terms in your country if that is higher. If you are under the age of

majority where you live, you may use the app only with the permission of a

parent or guardian.

5. LICENCE

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to

install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own

non-commercial use, under these terms.

You may not, except where the law allows it despite this restriction:

  - copy, modify, sell, rent, lease or redistribute the app;

  - reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code of the app;

  - remove or alter notices, ads or other parts of the app;

  - use the app to harm, overload or interfere with any network, device or

    service.

Open-source components in the app remain under their own licences.

6. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

  - control only TVs and devices that you own or have permission to use;

  - cast, share or play only content that you have the legal right to use;

  - use the app in line with the law and the rules of the networks and

    services you connect to;

  - keep your Wi-Fi network and your devices reasonably secure.

You are responsible for what you cast, share and play, and for any costs your

mobile or internet plan charges for the data you use.

7. LIVE TV AND PLAYLISTS (BRING YOUR OWN)

The Live TV feature is a player only. It contains no channels and no content.

You supply the playlists.

  - We do not host, provide, sell, review, verify or endorse any playlist,

    channel or stream that you add.

  - You alone are responsible for making sure you have the right to watch

    every playlist and stream you add.

  - Do not use the app to access content that is pirated, unlicensed or

    otherwise unlawful in your country. We may limit or remove features if we

    become aware of misuse.

  - Playlists and streams are provided by third parties. Their terms and

    privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content,

    quality or availability.

8. WI-FI SHARING AND SECURITY

To cast or share a file, the app makes the chosen items available on your

local network. While this is on, anyone on the same Wi-Fi network who has the

address can open those items. Use sharing only on networks you trust. We are

not responsible for access by other people on a network you chose to use.

9. COMPATIBILITY AND AVAILABILITY

How well the app works depends on your TV's brand, model and software

version, your Wi-Fi network, your router settings and the media you choose.

TV makers may change how their devices work at any time. We do not promise

that every TV, file format or feature will work, or that the app will be

available without interruption or error. Some Android versions, device

makers and TVs do not support all features.

10. ADS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The app is free and supported by advertising. Ads and measurement are

provided by Google (AdMob and Firebase). We do not control the advertisers,

their products or their websites, and we do not endorse them. Your dealings

with advertisers and with other third parties are between you and them.

11. PAID FEATURES

The app is free to use. We may in future offer optional paid features or

subscriptions. If we do, the price, billing period and what you get will be

shown before you buy, and payment will be handled by Google Play under Google

Play's terms, including its refund rules. Your statutory consumer rights,

such as any right of withdrawal, are not affected.

12. OUR RIGHTS IN THE APP

The app, its design, name, icon, text and code belong to us or our licensors

and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you no

ownership of them. If you send us feedback or ideas, you allow us to use them

without payment or obligation.

Your own photos, videos, files and playlists remain yours. We do not receive

or claim any rights in them.

13. NO WARRANTY

To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as

available", without any promise that it is error-free, uninterrupted, secure

or fit for a particular purpose. This does not affect rights you have under

consumer law that cannot be excluded.

14. LIMIT OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect,

incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill,

arising from your use of the app, from content you or third parties cast or

play, or from a TV or network that does not work as expected.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused

by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be

limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory rights you have under

the laws of the country where you live.

Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim about the app is

limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim, or

EUR 50 if you paid nothing.

15. ENDING THE AGREEMENT

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end your

use of the app if you break these terms or if the law requires it. Sections

that by their nature should continue after the end of this agreement (for

example 7, 12 to 14 and 17) will continue.

16. CHANGES

We may update the app and these terms. When we change the terms we will

update the date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell you

in the app or in the update notes. If you keep using the app after a change,

you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app.

17. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY / STATE], without regard to

conflict-of-law rules. Courts of [COUNTRY / STATE] have jurisdiction, except

that if you are a consumer you may also bring a claim in the courts of the

country where you live, and mandatory consumer protections there still apply.
